Passports and Visas

Attending the SNIP 15th Scientific Conference in Wuhan, China, will require special planning to obtain both a valid passport from your country of origin and and a valid Visa issued by a Chinese embassy.

Please prepare in advance - obtain your travel documentation early!

Obtaining a Tourist Visa. You must obtain a visa to visit China. This can be done in two ways:

1. Download application from the China Embassy website and HAND CARRY TO EMBASSY OR CONSULATE. APPLICATION BY MAIL IS NOT ACCEPTED.

2. You can apply for a visa by mail through an agent. For example, visit Majestic Vacations online to handle a mail-in China visa application.

Don’t forget, you will need the letter below from Dr. Dunjin Zhou



To assist with documentation for obtaining a Visa, you may download the attached invitation letter from the Chinese International Organizing Committee. Enter the date and your name/address where indicated before printing. This letter will detail the purpose of the meeting in China, the dates and location, and provide a personalized invitation.
